Brandy Norwood was all smiles as she and her family, including her daughter Sy’rai posed with Minnie Mouse at Disneyland’s California Adventure park on Monday afternoon.

Lorean Mays has been a fan of Brandy since the 34-year-old singer hit the music scene at 14 years old. A Grammy Award-winning rhythm and blues singer, Brandy, who also has a lucrative career in TV and film, will perform at Riverbend on the Coke Stage tonight.

“I started listening to Brandy when I was around 11 or 12,” says Mays, 29, of Chattanooga. “I even wanted braids like hers, by my mother said no.”

“She has been very transparent with her career, and I like that about her. She’s never pretended to be someone she isn’t and always seems to keep it real,” Mays says.

Brandy (full name Brandy Rayana Norwood) is also loyal to her fans, says WJTT-FM Power 94 radio personality Eric Foster, who notes that she has a huge fan base locally.

“One of the things that’s cool about Brandy is that she keeps coming back to Chattanooga,” says Foster. “We’ve supported her from the beginning of her career, and she’s been to Chattanooga a number of times, including a visit for a celebrity basketball game and a meet-and-greet she did for us.”

Foster says her most recent visit to Chattanooga was after she released her last album, “Two Eleven,” in 2012.

“Brandy has done really well,” he says. “She’s also a good actress. She did a good job on the “Moesha” TV show, and a big highlight of her career was when she did ‘Cinderella’ with Whitney [Houston].” (more…)

Music City received a special gift with the multi-talented Grammy award winning singer/actress Brandy performing at the War Memorial Auditorium last night. The soulful diva, strutted fiercely onstage to a full house of roaring Starz fans and supporters capturing their attention with her opening song,What About Us.

It was definitely clear that Nashville welcomed Brandy with open arms and love. The show offered an eclectic mix of her music. Brandy took her fans back with favorite tracks like: Sitting in my Room, Top of the World, Best Friend, Still I Love You, Almost Doesn’t Count and The Boy is Mine to name a few.

She even surprised the crowd with a special tribute to her friend the legendary singer Whitney Houston, singing I’m Your Baby Tonight and How Will I Know. The energy and spirit of Whitney was definitely embraced in that moment.

Then she switched gears singing tracks from her latest album Two Eleven singing, Put It Down, Wildest Dreams and then slowing things down with a special serenade of her blazing hot new single Do You Know What You Have?

Overall, Brandy delivered a great show, and had us hypnotized in our Brandy zone with her special sultry voice, live band and dancers. As she closed her show the crowd was at a standing ovation and chanting “Brandy.” Brandy definitely felt the love from Music City with a sold out show! What an amazing weekend, Brandy made a few stops this weekend starting with Aqua Fridays in Atlantic City, BrandyDaily’s own Vance (@LondonRainz) and my girl Casey were in the house representing! Saturday was a huge day for a lot of stars and our very own Ally, Brandy performed in Nashville. At the end of the show there was a meet and greet for a few lucky stars, what an amazing night, I got alot of text messages and tweets from friends who were really happy and just overjoyed, and somewhat in disbelief that they just met their fave (Brandy).
